Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has wondered why Labour Minister Chris Ngige would ask Nigerians to clap for the President Muhammadu Buhari government.

“Nigerians should be clapping for us on daily basis, and after thanking God, they should thank us,” Ngige had said on Sunday in Onitsha, Anambra State. “Yes, because God has used Buhari and some of us to make Nigeria work.”

However, while reacting to the comment, Omokri wondered why Nigerians should be lauding Buhari after 11 million jobs were lost in the country under Buhari’s watch.

“I hope Okija shrine did not do permanent damage to Chris Ngige’s psyche!” Omokri tweeted.

“How can he ask us to clap for a Buhari under whom Nigeria lost 11 million jobs and became the world headquarters for extreme poverty and whose govt wants us to give land for cattle ranch or die?
