American-Nigerian rapper Wale has hinted on Instagram that he is battling depression three years after he recounted a similar experience.
Wale, who told Billboard in 2015 that he was depressed for not being as successful as he envisaged, on Sunday wrote:
“I can’t escape this pain. Sometimes there’s absolutely no one to go to no matter how much they love you. You have no one. No one is more alone than a person who is the focal point.
“some strong friends have no strong friends.”

Fans are frightened at his outburst because the ex-boyfriend of singer Ariana Grande, Mac Miller committed suicide a few days ago.
In an old interview with Billboard, Wale explained that he wasn’t sleeping and was drinking all day over his inability to succeed.
He said, “I was depressed not being where I wanna be in my career when I’ve put the work in.
“I wasn’t sleeping. I was drinking all day and I didn’t have anyone to go to. I couldn’t fight it. Those are some of the demons I talk about on the album.
