Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has said he is satisfied with the team’s win over Seychelles in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday.
Nigeria beat the East Africans 3-0 in the game played at Victoria, after dominating proceedings.
Ahmed Musa, Chidozie Awaziem and Odion Ighalo grabbed a goal each for the team as they smashed the minnows.
Speaking after the win, Rohr expressed satisfaction with the performance of the boys, saying it was important to grab the three points.
“We are very satisfied with the result as the important thing was to win three points,” Rohr said.
“It was not easy as our opponents were very combative and aggressive. We started well though in the second half we found it hard playing against the wind.
“Our opponents also worked hard and we never underestimated them.”
Libya are top of the Group E standing on four points with South Africa trailing in second on same point but with an inferior goal difference.
The Eagles are third with three points while Seychelles take the last position.
