Nigeria is now very divided along ethnic, religious lines and at crossroads, Senate President Bukola Saraki has said.
Saraki said this on Thursday in Enugu while addressing delegates at the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former Kwara State Governor lamented the level of youth employment in the country, saying his decision to contest for the presidency was not borne out of personal interest.
“You cannot give what you do not have, what you don’t have, you cannot give. Nigeria is at a crossroad, it is very divided,” the PDP presidential aspirant noted.
He said he would develop the country’s economy as he also knows what Nigerians need as a people.
According to him, the present Senate has been able to work for Nigerians despite the many hurdles they had faced.
