Former France international Thierry Henry has turned down the chance to become the new manager of French side Bordeaux, according to local media.
Reports, last week, had suggested that the Arsenal legend had all but taken over the job after Gus Poyet’s suspension.
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had said, “Yes, he wants to do it. He is intelligent and he has the qualities. The existential question that we always ask ourselves is whether we are ready to sacrifice our life for the coaching profession.”
But Concise News has learned that Henry has not been able to agree personal terms with the club.
According to reports in France, Henry may have requested a larger salary than Bordeaux were prepared to offer, as well as guarantees around player recruitment and also his personal family circumstances.
