South Korea has appointed Paulo Bento as coach of the senior male national team with a four years contract.
Bento, a former Portugal gaffer, was named the coach of the Asian team on Friday by the Korea Football Association.
“Coach Bento fits the Korean football style as he pursues high-pressing games and tight defences denying opponents chances for counterattacks,” the Korean FA said.
“He is professional, charismatic and has passion and confidence.”

He was dismissed in 2010 by Portugal and was a former coach of Sporting Lisbon were he spent four seasons.
