Former Barcelona midfielder and Spanish great Andres Iniesta netted a sublime first goal for Japanese side Vissel Kobe on Saturday, in a 2-1 win over J-League rivals Jubilo Iwata.

Iniesta produced a moment of outrageous skill to put Vissel in front after 15 minutes.

Ex-Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski provided the assist, as Iniesta swivelled and left a Jubilo defender on his backside before coolly finishing from a narrow angle.

Kyogo Furuhashi scored Kobe’s second to secure the win, lifting them to fourth in the J-League standings.

Iniesta completed a surprise move to Japan over the summer after a great career with Barca, his boyhood club.
