Armed police operatives have withdrawn from the entrances to Ekiti Government House, known as Ayoba Villa, in Ado Ekiti, two days to the governorship election in Ekiti state.
Concise News also gathered that policemen have also withdrawn from the Kolapo Olusola Campaign Office on Fajuyi Road, Ado Ekiti.
Olusola is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the July 14 election poll.
The policemen dispersed PDP supporters and its members from the campaign office on Wednesday.
They said the supporters did not obtain permit for their gathering.
The riot policemen, it was learned, had, on Tuesday, blocked the entrances when President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in the state for the mega rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday.
Governor Ayodele Fayose had accused policemen deployed in the state for the governorship election on Saturday of harassing him where the Peoples Democratic Party was holding its rally on Wednesday.
Speaking with newsmen after the incident, Fayose burst into tears, saying he was slapped, kicked and shot at by the policemen.
