Jamie Vardy could miss England’s quarter-final duel with Sweden at the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia on Saturday due to injury.
The Leicester City forward did not take part in the Three Lions’ training for the game on Friday because of the injury.
Vardy sustained a slight groin strain as England edged Colombia in the Round of 16 on Tuesday.
The injury prevented him from taking the crucial fifth penalty in the shoot-out which Eric Dier clinically put away.
Reports in the UK media say Vardy was given a post-match injection to settle the injury, but he is still recovering despite missing Friday’s training.
