Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has said that the only way to curb rising theft rate in the country is by voting out President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

Omokri argued that many Nigerians are taking to stealing due to the rising level of hardship in the country since Buhari became president in 2015.

According to him, many who are committing theft were those who lost their jobs, which he pegged at 10 million, since Buhari came to power.

He wondered how such number of people will feed if aside stealing.

“The fastest way to end the increasing cases of theft in the country is by voting out Buhari,” Omokri tweeted on Wednesday.

“Theft is wrong, but people are not committing theft because they are inherently criminals, but because of hunger. 10 million Nigerians lost their jobs under Buhari. How would they feed?”
