Human rights activist Femi Falana (SAN) says President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the result of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election. According to the legal icon, with the honour given to the presumed winner of the election, Moshood Abiola, Buhari had already announced the result. Falana said this on Tuesday during the investiture of Abiola as Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR), the highest honorary award in Nigeria.

Court Sentences Ex-Plateau Gov. Dariye To 14 Years In Jail
The FCT High Court sitting in Gudu, Abuja on Tuesday found former Plateau state Governor,Joshua Dariye guilty of corruption.Dariye was found guilty on a 6-count charge of unlawfully transferring funds to the sum of N1.126bn ecological needs of the state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the southwest. The presiding judge, Justice Adebukola Banjoko, also found the former governor guilty in 1, 2 and 7 counts of other related offences of dishonesty.
More Lawmakers Join Buhari Support Group Despite Ban By Saraki
More lawmakers from both chambers of the National Assembly are joining the Buhari Parliamentary Support Group (PSG) despite a ban by Senate President, Bukola Saraki. It was gathered that the lawmakers joined the group after last week’s joint executive session of the Senate and the House of Representatives, which they described as self-serving. Those who initiated the PSG first at the senate said they floated the group to protect and defend the interest of President Muhammadu Buhari.
