Chelsea defender Ola Aina has expressed hopes that he will break into the Super Eagles team in the future after he was dropped for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Head Coach Gernot Rohr had On Sunday dropped him from the final 23-man squad for the competition but placed him on standby.
Aina found himself vying for two different roles with four other fullbacks Abdullahi Shehu, Tyronne Ebuehi, Elderson Echiejile and Brian idowu on the right back and left back positions respectively.
The Chelsea youngster eventually lost out of both roles and was left out of the squad.
Reacting to the development, Aina tweeted that, ”May be next time.. I want to wish the boys all the very best out in Russia make our Nation proud #soarsupereagles #MrLulu 🇳🇬 🦅”.
