Manchester United have completed the signing of Brazilian international Fred for £52 million as confirmed by his former Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu.
Fred was given time off from his nation’s preparation for the World Cup so he can have his medical at Carrington on Monday.
“When this happens, and it is inevitable, they are going to come to us and our advice to them is resolve this as soon as you can so your head is back with us and focusing on the national team,” said Brazil head coach Tite.

“I’m really pleased Fred has completed his transfer to Manchester United. I am proud of him,” Lucescu told Daily Mirror UK. “When I signed him at Shakhtar, Taison and Bernard were playing in his position.
“I transformed his position, giving him a more defensive role.”
