Manchester United star Paul Pogba is in the holy city of Mecca as he posted a video of himself standing in front of the Kaaba, a black cube which Muslims turn for their prayers.
The midfielder is expected to drive the French’s creativity at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
In the video uploaded on Instagram, the former Juventus maestro, 25, said “Only the person that comes here can understand the feeling.
“This a beautiful place — beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And the feeling… I cannot even explain to you.”
Recall that he had made similar visit to the holy land last year as Muslims observed the Ramadan.
He had also admonished his French team mates to take the global soccer showdown with all eagerness and the final in mind.
France won the competition on home soil in 1998 reaching the final in 2006, and will battle Denmark, Australia and Peru in Group C.
They will tackle the Socceroos of Australia in their first clash in Kazan, June 16.
