FG Vows To Apprehend Perpetrators Of Benue Church Massacre

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has described the killing of two priests and 17 parishioners by suspected herders in Benue state as “satanic.”

This is just as he vowed that the perpetrators of the crime would be punished.

They were murdered last month during an early morning attack and were given mass burial on Tuesday.

Osinbajo was among those present at the mass burial where he noted that such killings will soon be a thing of the past.

“We can ensure justice… by apprehending & punishing their assailants. We must rebuild places that have been damaged and heal wounds that have been caused.”

Others at the funeral were the Ministers of Transport and Foreign Affairs Amaechi and Onyeama.

The representatives of the Catholic Church in Rome were equally present.
