Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has released his 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia with Liverpool forward Sadio Mane leading the Lions of Teranga.
Cisse announced the list in Dakar, the country’s capital, on Thursday as the West Africans prepare for their second showing at the global soccer fiesta scheduled to commence 14 June, 2018.
Mane, 26, netted 19 goals for Liverpool in all competitions in the passing term as the Reds ended fourth on the league log.
Liverpool could also finish the season as European champions with a final date with Real Madrid in the Champions League on 26 May.
Goalkeeper Khadim N’Diaye, who plays for Horoya in Guinea, is the only African-based player to make the list.
The 2002 Afcon runners-up reached the quarter-finals in their maiden World Cup outing in 2002.
They had beaten the then holders France 1-0 in the opening game, before Turkey saw them off in the last eight.
Senegal are in Group H with Poland, Japan and Colombia and begin their quest on 19 June in Moscow.
