Shiites, members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, on Wednesday continued their protest, demanding the unconditional release of their detained leader, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

The they took the protest to ECOWAS headquarters, soliciting the intervention of the regional to the freedom of their detained leader.

The group had on Monday clashed with policemen at the Federal Secretariat complex, destroying police van and injuring some officers.

Unlike before, neither policemen nor military personnel stopped the protest as it was peaceful.
