Police Reacts To IG's 'Transmission' Video

Video of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, struggling to read a speech during the commissioning of the Police Technical Intelligence unit in Kano was doctored, Nigeria Police Force has said.

The incident was said to have happened on Monday with many Nigerians describing it as shameful.

However, the Police Force on its Twitter page shared a video of the IGP reading a speech fluently.

They went ahead to add some of his achievements and thus could not have made such error.

“IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, NPM, mni attended; St. Paul Primary Sch. Sokoto,” the police wrote.

“Govt Secondary School Farfaru, Sokoto, ABU Zaria (BSc Agric Economics), University of Maiduguri (LLB).

“NIPSS Kuru Jos and Author “Security and Justice, the Pathway to Peace & Reconciliation in Nigeria.”
