Thomas Markle will not be able to make history by walking his daughter, Meghan Markle down the aisle as he is due to have a heart surgery.
The 73-year-old man who told TMZ that he wouldn’t want to miss his daughter’s wedding has been officially declared unhealthy for the occasion.
Meghan Markle, 36, will be tying the knot with Prince, Harry 33, in the physical absence of her father.
Thomas who was set to travel from the United States to London for the big occasion suffered a heart attack seven days ago.
Since his illness, his stance on attending the wedding has been shaky because doctors placed him on a check.
On wednesday morning, he told TMZ that he will be attending the wedding because “They (doctors) will go in and clear blockage, repair damage and put a stent where it is needed.”
He stressed that “I’d like to be a part of history.”
Meanwhile, Thomas revealed that his daughter tried to reach him on the phone but he was not near it, so she texted him saying she was concerned about his health and she loves him.
It was gathered that Meghan despite learning at age six that her parents were divorced spent time with her father before he moved to Mexico.
