Congolese club Atletique Renaissance Aiglons (CARA) mauled Nigerian side Enyimba 3-0 in a match day 2 clash of the Confederations Cup at Stade Alphonse Massamba, Debat on Wednesday.
The side took the lead in the 14th minute via Racine Louamba who turned the ball home after goalkeeper Fatau Dauda parried a shot into his path.
In the 17th and 19th minutes they added more woes to the two-time African champions through goals from Cabwey Kivutuka and Dicha Lema.
Enyimba’s attempt to reduce the deficit met a brick wall and they have now lost the leadership position of the group.
Paul Aigbogu’s men, who defeated Djoliba of Mali on match day 1, will next square off against Ivory Coast’s Williamsville.
