Kano Pillars hit man Junior Lokosa has attributed his invitation to the Super Eagles 30-man team for the 2018 World Cup to God.
The red-hot Lokosa has bagged 18 goals in the Nigerian Professional Premier League thus far this term and gotten himself a call up to Gernot Rohr’s side for the competition.
Nigeria’s team was announced on Monday and the Lokosa told Brila that, “Sincerely, I am just hearing the news right now, but then I have to give all the Glory to God.”
He added that it’s another call for him to work harder, another challenge he hopes to overcome.
The three-time African champions’s team list has Leicester City’s duo of Wilfried Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Ogenyi Onazi, Kenneth Omeruo, Ahmed Musa and China-based Odion Ighalo.
Nigeria start their campaign against Croatia on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium before facing Iceland (June 22) and Argentina (June 26) in Volgograd and Saint Petersburg respectively.
