Winner of the Big Brother Africa ‘All Stars’ edition, Uti Nwachukwu has advised the government to allocate funds to the entertainment sector.
The Jara TV co-host also lauded the growth of entertainment industry in Nigeria, stating that in the nearest future, the industry would rival with the Western world.
Uti who was at the Family Fun Day at ‘The Dome’ in Abuja, emphasised on the growth rate.
His words, “The county’s entertainment industry is growing fast; we have cuddled up, it took some time, but we started the growth and it has become real fast.
“However, we are getting there. We will soon be at par with our colleagues in the western world. We will keep pushing and soon, we shall be there.”
On the re-launch of ‘The Dome’ after a decade hiatus, the former BBA housemate expressed excitement for the return of the show.
He also revealed that he was hosted by the Dome the year he won the reality TV show.
“It is a nice feeling to see that they have rebranded, relaunched and have revamped the establishment.
“The growth is a good thing and I am so happy to be part of it,” he said.
On the importance of government investing in the industry, he said, “government should make sure funds allocated to the sector are traced and monitored.
“This will ensure that the funds are use to do what they are suppose to be used for.”
