Police in Kerala, Southern India, have arrested the mother of the 10-year-old girl that was sexually abused by 60-year-old jeweller.
Concise News had earlier reported that a business man identified as, Moideen Kutty, was arrested for sexually molesting a 35-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter in a cinema in Kerala in April.
Kutty’s act was unveiled through the CCTV installed in the cinema.
It was gathered from the police that the man and the woman were having an affair before the erotic cinema video saga.
According to the footage, the man sat between the woman and her daughter and performed sexual acts on the mother. Then, he sexually abused the daughter in the woman’s presence and she did nothing.
These findings, prompted the police to arrest the 35-year-old woman on Sunday.
The mother of the girl has, however, been booked under section 364 (A) of IPC, and relevant sections of POCSO and Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act.
Meanwhile, it was also gathered that the Childline had given the video to the police but they attempted to foil the case.
The cinema staff had to handover the tape to a TV station who then aired it forcing the police to go into prompt action.
This, has, sparked an outrage in Changaramkulam with people asking if they are safe in the hands of the security officials in the region.
Although, Gulf news reported that a sub-inspector has been suspended for keeping quiet when the initial evidence was presented to them, the police has received heavy criticisms from the citizens.
