The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Yusuf Abdullahi Atta has disclosed that if the move to impeach him sails through, he will accept it in good faith.
According to reports, members of Kano State House of Assembly were set to impeach the Speaker of the house with 21 lawmakers as at Sunday night signing in support of the Speaker’s impeachment.
Speaking with newsmen on Monday, Atta noted that the attempt by some members of the house to impeach him has nothing to do with competency.
He said: “In anything there is starting and ending point. If Allah has designed it that my time is off, nobody will extend it by a second and if it is not time, nobody can remove me from office that’s my belief.
“My happiness is that I did not steal anybody’s money. So, if today, they remove me from office, I will leave but nobody will accuse me of stealing. I have a constituency that I am representing.”
