The Nigerian government condemned the assassination of its national immigration officer and said it would work with Sudan to arrest the culprit.

“The police arrested the offender, a foreign woman who committed the crime. She confessed the murder of the Nigerian official and the stolen possessions,” the Sudanese government said in a short statement.

The Sudanese authorities didn’t disclose the circumstances of the crime or the identity of the killer.
