Former Governor of Bauchi Isa Yuguda has declared his intention to join the race for the vacant Bauchi South Senatorial District position.
He made this known at a meeting of Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) in Bauchi over the weekend.
Speaking to newsmen, the former governor said that he decided to join the race to heed the calls of his supporters.
He said he wanted to contest for the seat in order to continue serving his people and provide more dividends of democracy to the people of the constituency.
Yuguda had earlier vied for the position on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
But he lost to Ali Wakili, who died in March this year.
