Nigeria international and Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi sustained a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat by Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Iwobi’s injury will be a big blow for Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr as midfielder Wilfred Ndidi also picked up an injury in Leicester City’s 5-0 trashing by Crystal Palace on Saturday.
”Ospina has a rib problem and Alex Iwobi has a hamstring problem, so we’ll see how well everyone recovers. Thursday will come very quickly,” outgoing Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said during his post-match conference.
”Definitely? At the moment, no, but we’ll have to monitor them over the next 48 hours. We’ll know more on Tuesday.”
