Top American song producer, Russell Simmons has been declared free from a rape scandal by his accuser, Jennifer Jarosik.
Concise News gathered from TMZ that his accuser, an aspiring documentary filmmaker, dismissed the lawsuit on Wednesday, April 25.
Russell was accused of rape by Jarosik in January who claimed he harassed her after she refused his sexual advances.
She demanded about $10 million in damages from the Def Jam Recordings CEO.
According to the multi-millionaire, Jennifer has been a close friend for a decade and that they had been intimate a couple of times.
He clarified that on the times they’d had sex, it had been consensual and not forceful as she claimed.
Simmons said that in the past, he had offered her unsolicited support from her request on various entertainment projects ranging from film documentary, reality television shows and children’s books.
He further revealed that he had offered to donate a few thousand dollars to one project and asked his friends to assist her with her documentary.
The duo suggested that an agreement had been reached after dismissing the case.
