The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has expressed dismay over the recent spate of killings in Benue state.
You will recall that two priests and 17 persons were massacred by suspected herdsmen on Tuesday in the state with 20 later killed on Wednesday.
While speaking in a statement on Wednesday, the ACF described the development as “unfortunate.”
According to the ACF, “the spate of attacks on innocent people including clergy men and worshipers in their places of worship is most callous and unfortunate.
“Perpetrators of these heinous crimes should be fished out and be brought to book to serve as deterrence to others.”
It also called on the Federal Government to set up a committee to look into these persistent killings in the Northern part of the country.
