Former Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that he may play for the Swedish team at the 2018 Fifa World Cup.
Ibrahimovic noted this on Wednesday, adding that he might be forced out of retirement from national duty and play in Russia.
The 36-year-old has been reportedly weighing the option playing for the European team after they beat Italy in a play-off to make it to the first World Cup since 12 years.
“I’m going to the World Cup, yes,” Ibrahimovic ABC when asked if he would be at the World Cup.
And when pressed whether he would attend as player or in another form, he said: “I just said I’m going to the World Cup.
“If I say more, people will hang me, so I have to be careful what I say now. I mean, a World Cup without me wouldn’t be a World Cup.”
The LA Galaxy star retired from international football in 2016 after the Euro Championship.
