The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has hosted her first Arab fashion event in the company of other fashion experts around the world.
The event which held two weeks later that scheduled, was put together by Princess Noura Bint Faisal Al Saud, honorary President of the Arab Fashion Council in Riyadh.
Gulf News reported that Jean Paul Gaultier and Roberto Cavalli headlined the Arab Fashion week which is opened to certain excitement and controversy.
The fashion event scheduled to run for four days, will be ending on Friday, April 13.
Fashion experts within the country participating are, Arwa Banawi and Mashael Alrajhi and Saudi Shaikha.
Princess Noura said at the event that, “Fashion has always been an interest of Saudi Arabia.”
She further explained that, “It has not been something that wasn’t on the table or in the picture.
“Our fashion council is trying to bring the fashion industry in Saudi Arabia to a whole new level, a whole new industry.”
Prior to this hosting in Saudi, Arab Fashion week has been exclusively held in the Gulf of Dubai.
