Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has mourned the death of Winnie Mandela, wife of South Africa first black president Nelson Mandela.
Concise News had reported that the anti-apartheid campaigner died aged 81.
In a post on his Twitter page on Monday, Murray-Bruce hailed Winnie for keeping the struggle to abolish apartheid in South Africa.
He wrote: “Adieu #WinnieMandela. You kept the struggle to abolish apartheid going while Mandiba kept hope alive in Robben Island.
“Nobody is perfect, yet we can say you were most fitting for the role that was thrust on you.
“You are gone but not forgotten. Not by a long stretch. Rest in peace”
