Stop Playing God, PDP Tells Tinubu

The PDP on Thursday warned the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to stop playing God as Nigerians can now decide on what they really want. The party asked him not to play a part in the re-entrenchment of the “nepotic” Buhari administration.

PDP Mocks Buhari As Martin Luther King Family Disowns Award

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday took a swipe on President Muhammadu Buhari, following the controversy surrounding the Martin Luther King award he received few days ago in Abuja. The Martin Luther King Centre has distanced itself or the family of the late activist from the said award few days after it was given. PDP spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement, said the lie by Buhari’s handlers “smacks of desperation by the Presidency and the All Progressives Congress (APC), to procure international endorsement, ahead of the 2019 general elections.”

Saraki, Oyegun Absent From Tinubu’s 66th Birthday Colloquium

Senate President Bukola Saraki and the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, were conspicuously absent from the 10th Bola Tinubu Colloquium. Though no reason has been given for the absence of both men, Odigie-Oyegun’absence might not be unconnected to Tinubu’s vocal opposition to his tenure elongation as national chairman of the ruling party.

Yoruba Elders Ask Buhari To Sack Service Chiefs

Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack all the service chiefs. The YCE sited the recurrent massacre in Benue, Taraba and Nasarawa states and the accusation by ex-Minister of Defence, Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma, that the military was colluding with killer herdsmen to embark on ethnic cleansing as basis for its position.

Drama ensued in Kogi state on Thursday when the incoming commissioner of police seemed to have turned tail and left the state without taking over his duty. Reports suggest the drama started on Thursday when the outgoing commissioner of police, Ali Jaga, arrived the venue for the hand-over only to find out that the incoming Commissioner of Police, Esa Sunday Ogbu, was not available for handover.

The national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians not to accept the apology from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
