Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has stated that Sharibu Leah is more powerful than members of the Boko Haram sect.

Leah is the only Christian among the 110 girls abducted on February 19 that was not released along with 105 others on Wednesday.

Five of the girls were said to have died on the day they were kidnapped from their school in Dapchi, Yobe state.

Leah was said to have been denied the chance to return home alongside her schoolmates because of her refusal to renounce her faith.

In a post on his Twitter page, Murray-Bruce said: “Leah has refused to negotiate her faith with terrorists. She has shown that you don’t negotiate with terrorists.

“Between Boko Haram and Leah, who has the power? It is Leah.

“Without guns and bombs, she has overpowered her captors. May God bring Leah, my hero, safely back home.”
