US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said his disagreements with Rex Tillerson, over the Iran nuclear deal and some other issues formed his decision to replace him with Mike Pompeo.
“We got along actually quite well but we disagreed on things,” Trump told reporters.
“When you look at the Iran deal, I thought it was terrible, he thought it was okay. I wanted to either break it or do something, he felt a little differently. So we were not really thinking the same.
“Pompeo and I have a similar thought process,” he added.
Trump admits he didn’t talk about North Korea with Tillerson, telling reporters on Friday that: “I made the decision by myself.”

The talks will be the first between a sitting US president and a North Korean leader.
On Friday — the day that Trump asked Tillerson to step down — Tillerson said Trump’s decision to meet with Kim Jong Un “was not a surprise in any way.”
But this comment came less than a day after the secretary of state, who was fired on twitter, said conditions were not yet ripe for negotiations with North Korea.
