Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has lambasted the federal government over its handling of the abducted schoolgirls by members of Boko Haram.
It was reported that 48 out of the 94 girls were missing after Boko Haram attack in the school returned.
Another report on Wednesday revealed that other girls were rescued by the army at Jilli-Muwarti, a border village between Gaidam in Yobe state and Borno State .
But reports emerged Thursday that none of the girls was rescued.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter page, the lawmaker slammed the president administration for condemning the Goodluck Jonathan government for its handling of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
Murray-Bruce wrote: “How do we expect the international community to take us seriously after the mesmerizing merry go round of claims and counter claims on the #DapchiGirls?
“For a government that brutally criticized the previous administration’s handling of #Chibokgirls this is not good enough! Sad!
“On a week when President Buhari boasted that he had fulfilled his 2 biggest campaign promises of Security and Anti Corruption, The #DapchiGirls incident and Transparency International’s latest CPI showed him the limits of propaganda.
“Mr. President, you have FAILED on those scores.”
