The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has restated its commitment to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the Anambra Central Senatorial rerun election scheduled for Saturday (tomorrow).
This was made known by the commission’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Nkwachukwu Orji.
He assured that the credibility of the election would surpass that of the November 18, 2017 governorship poll.
Speaking to newsmen on Thursday, Orji said adequate security arrangements had been put in place by the security agencies to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
He said that sensitive materials for the conduct of the exercise had already been distributed to the local government areas where the election would hold.
He listed seven local government areas for the election as, Idemili North, Idemili South, Awka North Awka South, Njikoka, Dunukofia and Anaocha.
