The Anambra state indigene, who represented Kebbi state at the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN), stood tall in China but could not stop Miss India, Manushi Chhillar, from winning the coveted crown.

Social media users have applauded the Queen for her performance.

@Preciousong wrote: “We’re still extremely proud of you. This is a good sign. You brought Nigeria ?? to the world ? again for a good cause. The world is yet to hear from you.”

@kristinestylez wrote: “You made us proud.”

@candy_d_elly wrote: “I am so Proud of you dear… Congratulations. YOU REALLY BROUGHT NIGERIA TO THE SPOTLIGHT. NOW, THERE’S NO GOING BACK.”

@Preciousong wrote: “Couldn’t finish viewing the Top 15 on YouTube as I kept on looping her time when she was announced ?.

Although, there were controversies raised about Ugochi’s choice of outfit at the finale, her performance outshone it.

Precious continued: “How can people say the dress ? she wore isn’t appropriate? She glowed in that dress and the slit even made it more comfortable to strut. The dress looked extremely comfortable for me. I don’t know what others are saying about it though. That gown even gave her more confidence.”

@cyburg0123 reacted to @preciousong: “The slit and all is cool. I had to look well to see it was an evening dress. Felt like a crop top and skirt to me. I wonder what @menaallure was thinking when she made that. This is a pageant not a red carpet. All the Same Kudos to @menaallure she made the queen pretty all through its only this final dress I have issues with
