Tom Cleverley scored an injury-time winner as Watford fought back from a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1 in Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off at Vicarage Road.
The win puts the Hornets in fourth in the league standings after eight games.
Arsenal had looked like the side that would win all three points after defender Per Mertesacker put them in front six minutes from half time.
But the home side did not give up. They leveled matters when Troy Deeney clinically converted a spot kick in the 71st minute.
And when it seemed both sides had settled for a share of the spoils, Cleverley smashed the ball into the roof of the net to send the home fans into the world of vociferous excitement.
