Bauchi side Wikki Tourists have confirmed the relegation of Shooting Stars from the Nigeria Professional Football League after they humbled relegated Gombe United 2-0 on Saturday.
Abubakar Lawal scored in the 36th minute to double Wikki’s lead.
The game, played in Maiduguri, was rescheduled after it was abandoned last Saturday in Gombe due to crowd trouble.
The Tourists were already 1-0 up before the game was disrupted by Gombe fans.
The league organisers, League Management Company, then ordered a replay and heavily sanctioned Gombe United.
With the result, Wikki remain in the top-flight league, while the Oluyole Warriors are relegated alongside ABS, Gombe and Remo Stars.
