The rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) will be conferred on Festus Keyamo and 29 others on September 18.
This is contained in a statement by the Supreme Court Director of Press and Information, Dr Festus Akande.
He said the conferment of the SAN rank on the lawyers is part of the events lined up as part of the ceremony marking the commencement of the new 2017/2018 legal year.
The recipients would have the honour conferred on them by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.
Apart from Keyamo, the day would see a former National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olusola Oke, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice in Ogun state and brother to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Akinlolu Osinbajo, Prof. Adebambo Adewepo, and the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Prof. Adedeji Adekunle honoured.
Others are Oluwatoyin Bashorun (the only successful female applicant), Chibuike Nwokeukwu, Johnnie Egwuonwu, Bert Igwilo, Sylvester Enema, Ikenna Egbuna and Wilcox Aberton.
Others include Michael Alliyu, Francis Egele, Nasser Dangiri, Emeka Okpoko, Sani Garun-Gabbas, Abdul Ibrahim, John Odubela, Gboyega Oyewole and Joshua Musa.
Ibrahim Mohammed, Ekemejero Ohwovorile, Oyetola Oshobi, Sulaiman Usman, Kehinde Ogunwumiju, Chiesonu Okpoko and Kamaldeen Ajibade.
Academics Professors Enefiok Essien, Sadiq Shikyl, and Adebambo Adewepo were also chosen.
