
Former U-17 World Cup bronze boot winner, Samuel Chukwueze has confirmed penning a professional contract with La Liga side Villarreal.
Samuel, who trained with the Villarreal youth team as an 18-year-old after the World Cup tournament in Chile, appears to have impressed the club’s officials.
The deal was completed on Tuesday and the player posted a picture on Instagram, accompanied by his mother.
He shared his delight with the words: “Thank God @ last,, officially ???? ”
“Yellows all the way. I want to thank everyone who made it possible for me to be here today.
Its a dream come true. Love you all. Now the battle begins….”
5-year-deal
It was gathered that Samuel signed a 5-year contract, but will spend time with the youth side from where his progress will be monitored for possible promotion to the first team.
