The highest-grossing Nigerian movie ever, ‘The Wedding Party’, is set to release its sequel as the crew has concluded filming in Dubai.
The movie, produced by popular TV personality Mo Abudu, had its sequel entirely shot in the ‘Jewel of the Middle East’.
With this progress into the production of the movie, observers and critics already foresee weeks of video editing, sound and special effects, then the movie’s screening at its first festival.
The excited set of A-list cast and crew worked in the most beautiful cities in the world, many thanks to Dubai Tourism and a host of other local sponsors.
The director of the sequel, Niyi Akinmolayan, narrated how he enjoyed filming in the Sun rich city of Dubai and how much he anticipates the next phase.
“It has been a remarkable opportunity to film in Dubai – it was magical and the team was awesome. We are thrilled to create something special for viewers and we are sure that they will be impressed with the movie.”
Mo Abudu, Executive Producer for EbonyLife Films, also expressed delight in her beautiful Dubai experience of filming this sequel.
“We had a really tough schedule, but we are happy to be moving to the next phase. We are really grateful for the support we received from Dubai Tourism and everyone else in the destination who worked so hard to make it possible. The making of this movie sequel has exposed both cast and crew to the captivating attractions of the city, such as Dubai Mall and desert-based restaurant Qasr Al Sultan, IMG Worlds of Adventure, the heaven felt accommodations likes Atlantis The Palm, Palazzo Versace, Armani and Ghaya Grand hotels.
