Remo Stars head coach Fatai Osho has assured the club’s faithful that the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) newcomers will not be relegated at the end of the current campaign.
The Sky Blues are tied to the floor of the NPFL table with 19 points from 19 games.
But in spite of their worrisome placement in the standings, the former Kogi United tactician believes the Sagamu-based side can revamp their campaign in the second half of the league.
Remo coach upbeat despite defeat
He was speaking after their 1-0 defeat by Rivers United in a rescheduled at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.
“We’ll get it right. We play well no doubt about that but it does not mean the goals won’t come,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“When I came in, I decided to improve the team and I believe everything will come good.
“Yes, our supporters are getting nervy because we’re on the base of the league table at the moment.
“But I want to say the league is like a marathon race, not like a 100m dash.
“We still have a whole lot of 19 games coming in front of us, and hopefully, we will swim ashore, no doubt about that.”
