The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday approved N1.524 billion for five projects in the aviation sector.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika told reporters that the projects include the appointment of transaction experts to carry out advisory services on the establishment of national carriers and an aviation leasing company.
Others are the establishment of a maintenance, repair and overhaul centre, an airport city and the concession of airports.
The minister said the contracts were awarded to Lufthansa Consulting/TN Aero for the national carrier, Arrow for the aviation leasing company and Infrata Dantens for the concession of airports.
The minister said the establishment of MRO was awarded to Messrs Arrow; while aerotropolis and agro-cargo terminals were awarded to JEBB.
