Operatives of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) on Tuesday rescued a man from a well at Ojota area of the state.

The man was said to have allegedly attempted to commit suicide.

Officials of the agency said the 45-year old man was evacuated around 6:35 a.m. at No. 38 Kujore Street Ojota, Lagos.

Sources said the suicider, whose name is still unknown, was found inside a 160ft well, but the process leading to the event could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile,  the man sustained a right femoral fracture and left knee joint dislocation.

According to an official of LASEMA, he has been moved to the hospital for further treatment by the officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service.

The General Manager LASEMA, Adesina Tiamiyu, said proper investigation would be conducted.

He also advised Lagosians to report any strange activities around their environment to the relevant agencies or call the 767/112 emergency.
