Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil scored both goals as Arsenal bounced back to winning ways with a hard-earned 2-1 win at Middlesbrough in the Premier League on Monday.
The win moves the Gunners to sixth, seven points off the last Champions League spot with a game in hand.
A dull opening was brought to life when Sanchez’s superb free-kick gave Arsene Wenger’s men the lead just before the break.
Middlesbrough responded soon after the restart when Alvaro Negredo volleyed in Stewart Downing’s pinpoint cross.
However, midfielder Ozil secured the much-needed three points for the Gunners with a first-time strike at the near post.
