Former media aide of ex-president,Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has lashed out at Pastor Tunde Bakare over his comments regarding the leaked memo of Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Omokri, a charismatic and controversial critic of the Buhari-led government, described Bakare as unsettled and urged him to be careful regarding his “respect” for man and not God.
“Tunde Bakare is a funny character. Here is a man who did not see anything wrong when Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi leaked memos written to President Goodluck Jonathan now castigating those around the President for leaking El-Rufai’s memo.
“Tunde Bakare must know that Acts 10:14 says God is no respecter of persons. If that is the case, why should his servants be respecters of persons?
“El-Rufai is an expert at leaking other people’s memos and shouldn’t complain when his memos are leaked.”
Analysing El-Rufai’s memo
Omokri titled his analysis on the El-Rufai leak: “Analysing Nasir El-Rufai’s ‘You Are a Failure’ Memo to Buhari”
“If only Professor John Paden had been patient enough to wait for the release of El-Rufai’s memorandum to President Muhammadu Buhari, he would not have so effusively praised the President.
“Having done so through his book ‘Muhammadu Buhari-The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria’, Paden now comes across as a revisionist at best and a liar at worst because we now have a situation where even die hard loyalists of the Buhari administration have come to accept the reality that Nigeria is faring much worse under the status quo than it did under the previous Peoples Democratic Party administration of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.
“President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress called Dr. Goodluck Jonathan ‘clueless’ and promised change but look at the change they brought! The same Nasir El-Rufai that called GEJ clueless now calls Muhammadu Buhari’s administration clueless.
“The Buhari led APC administration overturned much of the good initiatives of the Jonathan era. The former President gave us YouWIN but this administration stopped it and today YOU LOSE as a Nigerian youth,” he said.
He noted that Nigeria has not made any improvements under the so-called anti-corruption administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
