Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, has commissioned the South-South zonal office of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to the minister, commissioning of the new office was part of the promises made by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to complete abandoned projects
Adewole urged the agency’s officials not to forget their key responsibility, which is aimed at protecting the health of Nigerians by getting rid of fake and unwholesome products from the country.
On her part, the Acting Director General of NAFDAC, Yetunde Oni, said the completion of the building would help address the ever-increasing volume of regulatory activities in the South-South zone, especially with the presence of an International Airport and Sea Ports in the region.
