The final of the 7th Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation Charity Golf (DOAMF) Tournament will tee off on Saturday at the golf course of Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos.
The Coordinator of the charity golf tournament, Pat Bassey, said in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos that golfers from across the country were expected from to participate.
“We are ready to put up a show worthy of the brand and social responsibility reputations of our esteemed corporate and individual sponsors.
“We shall continue to support in our little ways to better the lives of the less privileged in our society as we have been doing over the years.
“We are still committed to ensuring that resources are prudently utilised in changing more lives,’’ the statement said.
Since DOAMF was inaugurated 10 years ago, about 66,000 lives have been touched.
“We also use this opportunity to appreciate those corporate organisations, groups and individuals, who have continued to give generously to achieve this feat.
“Through this golf event, we have been able to enhance the capacity of the Foundation to deliver on its mission of touching lives.
“We welcome participants and invited guests to the tournament, with a view to interacting with all our partners, donors and to formally appreciate them for keeping the Foundation’s charitable works afloat,’’ it said.
